Client Engagement Terms

How advisory engagements with CC Business are scoped, priced, delivered and managed.

Last reviewed: July 2026

These Client Engagement Terms explain how advisory work with CC Business, part of CAQA Groups and Career Calling International Pty Ltd, is scoped, priced and delivered. Client work is performed under an agreed proposal, quote, service agreement, retainer or written scope. The scope will identify the deliverables, assumptions, client responsibilities, fees, payment terms, timelines and review process. Clients are responsible for providing accurate, complete and timely information. Work outside the agreed scope may require a variation, additional fee or revised timeline.

Services these terms cover

CC Business provides advisory services for growing, owner-led organisations, including strategy and planning days, a 90-day execution rhythm, operations and process advisory, people and organisation design, numbers and decision dashboards, standing advisory board arrangements, growth projects and change support, and succession and exit readiness. These terms apply to all such engagements unless the signed scope of work states otherwise; where the two differ, the signed scope prevails.

How an engagement begins

Engagements usually start with an enquiry through this website, by email or by phone, followed by a discovery conversation at no charge. If we believe we can help, we prepare a written proposal describing the objectives, deliverables, approach, timeline, fees and the inputs we need from you. No engagement exists, and no fees are payable, until you accept the proposal in writing.

Scope and deliverables

Each proposal defines the deliverables for the engagement, such as facilitated strategy days, documented plans, operating rhythms, process maps, organisation designs, dashboards or advisory board participation. Deliverables are prepared for the client organisation named in the scope and for the purpose stated in the scope. They are not to be on-sold or represented as advice to third parties without our written agreement.

Fees and payment

Fees are set out in each proposal and may be structured as fixed fees, day rates or monthly retainers depending on the engagement. Invoices are issued by Career Calling International Pty Ltd (ABN 53 162 651 238) with payment terms stated on the invoice. No payments are taken through this website; there is no online checkout, and we will never ask you to pay through a link on this site. Any refund, credit or cancellation position for a specific engagement is governed by the signed scope of work and by the Australian Consumer Law where it applies.

Rescheduling and cancellation

Strategy days, advisory sessions and workshops may be rescheduled by either party with reasonable notice, and we will always try to accommodate genuine operational pressures. Where a scope of work includes specific cancellation or postponement rules, including any fees for late cancellation of booked days, those rules are stated in the proposal before you sign it.

Client inputs and responsibilities

Good advisory work depends on good inputs. Clients agree to provide accurate, complete and timely information, access to relevant people and systems, and feedback within the review windows stated in the scope. Delays in providing inputs, or material changes in the information originally supplied, may affect timelines, deliverables and fees, and may require a variation.

Implementation responsibility

Our role is to advise, facilitate and support. Decisions about whether and how to implement recommendations, including hiring, restructuring, investment, pricing and operational changes, remain with the client and its directors and officers, and implementation outcomes depend on the client's execution. Where recommendations touch legal, tax, financial or accounting matters, the client should obtain advice from appropriately qualified practitioners, as explained in our Business Advisory Disclaimer.

Variations and out-of-scope work

Requests that fall outside the agreed scope, including additional workshops, extra review cycles, new deliverables or expanded coverage, are handled as variations. We will describe the impact on fees and timelines in writing and proceed only once you approve the variation.

Confidentiality and information handling

We treat client information as confidential and use it only for the purposes of the engagement. Personal information collected through this website or during an engagement is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Specific confidentiality undertakings, where required, are recorded in the scope of work or a separate agreement.

Concerns and contact

If any aspect of an engagement is not working as expected, raise it with your engagement lead first so it can be addressed quickly, or use our Complaints and Feedback process. You can contact us at info@caqa.com.au, on 1800 266 160 or through our contact page.
